「concern」の正しい使い方｜ビジネスで自然に懸念を伝える英語表現【例文つき】

貿易実務や海外とのやり取りでは、納期の遅れ、品質トラブル、追加費用の発生など、思わぬ不安が生じることがあります。

そんなときに落ち着いて懸念を伝えるのに便利なのが concern という言葉です。

使い方

be concerned は、状況や事実に対して冷静に懸念を示す、ビジネスで最も一般的な表現です。相手を責める印象を与えず、丁寧に問題意識を共有したいときに使われます。

have concerns は、契約条件や提案内容など「論点」に対する懸念を名詞で示す、やや形式的な表現です。メールや文書で特に自然で、複数の懸念点がある場合にも使いやすいのが特徴です。

こちらも、about / about whether / that のどれも自然に使えます。

concern は可算名詞なので単数形も使えますが、ビジネスでは concerns（複数形） が一般的です。
